Due to errors in some of our backend systems, members may be seeing different errors in Search. This could be that "We were unable to run the search results you entered. Please try again in a few minutes" or a blank page, or simply the browser being unable to display the page.
This is also affecting the ability to access eBay Stores through search directly, and sometimes from the store URL.

Workarounds - Buy It Now Search and Advanced Search
If you use the Advanced Search option at the top of the page, and type in your search query and click the title and description box and then run the search, the results for the title and description search will be returned.

Alternatively, if you receive a 0 results page for title search and click the Buy It Now tab (or choose the title and description box and re-run the search), you'll see the (Buy It Now or title and description) results for your search query.

Please note that we are working as quickly as possible to get this resolved. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to resolve this.

Sellers take a chance when listing an auction online that the venue they are listing will become unstable at some point (not exact words but the meaning is relatively the same)

loose is when something is not tight correct?

it appears the search format has changed drastically in the last 24hrs. This frustrating as you no longer go directly to a category. For example: Wholsale book lots. You no longer go there. you get 0 search results. I haven't began to search. I can't get there to search. Why do you people keep changing the format? This DOES NOT help or make it easier or better!

PEOPLE...... This board is NOT Ebay, it is ebay users who use their time to try and help others with problems. So please quit giving them a hard time...

If you would have read the top of this board instead of yelling you would have read that.

Now, as for reading, If you would read the announcements board, which is a good idea to do on a daily basis, you would have seen that ebay is having a problem. Yes - they know about it, yes - they are working on it, no - we don't know how long it will last and we can't do anything about it anyway....

So chill out........

I have items ending today, and searches have been down for hours. My items should be selling for more than they are. I have asked several Ebayers I know to check their sites and they too have been unable to search. How do I remedy this ??? I can not find any means to contact Ebay, that is insane.

I see that the site has gone belly up. Maybe somebody found a back door into ebay. Search doesn't work and when I go to Saved Sellers, clicking on their items for sale doesn't work. If I can find something that they're selling, clicking on "see other items" doesn't work. How long is this supposed to last? One item that I was watching, ended about an hour ago.

I am having trouble with my ebay store. When I look it up it shows that none of the items I have listed are there, but when I go to my ebay and look under active listings it shows I have 10 items listed. Also when I do a basic search for items I have listed, they do not come up in ebays search. Please help me out with this. I have never seen this happen before.

Ebay reps are saying they will extend the auctions for 24 hours and refund fees to sellers when the system is back up. The problem is that many sellers currently checking their auctions through the my ebay page are finding that not only are their auctions ending, but some folks are making immediate payment to lock in the sale. So the question becomes, what is going to happen to the sellers whose auctions are closing on time, but additional bidders have been unable to access the items to bid? Some items will go for far less than they should. The problem will be complicated by people paying on the closed items via pay pal. If the seller does not send the item we will see the negative feedback fly and complaints to pay pal. This is going to be a mess for a lot of buyers and sellers. It's too bad. Other ebay discussion boards have people reporting that the system is down worldwide. Looks like this outage is a "biggie".

ok, so any of you who can do better and keep all computers and servers running all the time should be able to solve all computer issues for everyone and tell them how to fix it permanently. It is a computer, electronics, technology, it is a wonderful thing as long as it works but when it doesn't work everyone seems to be unable to function properly.
