A buyer has accused me in negative feedback of selling fake Levi's Jeans. Now all my customers see this and ebay refuses to remove it and says he is not in violation of any ebay rules. What would you do??

doreen - yep! what is the old saying? the more i see people, the more i love my dog. its getting to be more and more true. soon, i too, will be living on a 5 acre ranch in waddel, arizona. my friend, who also does rescue, has just bought the horse ranch and is converting to a dog training center. she and i are both behavior trainers. so, we will both be able to try and help owners and pets stay together instead of showing up on rescue's door. but your job is much harder. i love looking at horses. always been a little kid horse nut. but i learned early, i enjoy them much more from the ground. i had a friend in southern california who had andelusions (mispelled really bad). but i could sit and watch them all day long. my hat is off to you. take care. lets get this market moving so we can afford our rescues.

i have bought from this selle many dresses in past and they started to get worse, dresses not well done, no good quality and last dress wasnt repairable, because was way too short. i have sent it back. seller said will make new one. did not. sent me the same. i sent it again back to him, he promised me money back, but now he dont communicate!it is cheater, nobody should trust him, has cheap wedding dresses but believe me, dont worth even 20 pounds. now i have no dress and no money back:-((((((

we save horses have 4 of them most with bad feet or under weight. got 24 on the farm + the ones we saved. lots to feed .. most are racehorses sure wish i could sell them on ebay. lol

well when i went to get dd at the show last night i had a big 8 point deer jump out and run down the driveway . i had to stop till he go off.

goodforugoods there are somethings that you can't sent to Sweden i think fur is one of them not sure .

erictisa you can turn it in to paypal but they will make you pay to ship the item back. it may be better to resell them if you didn't pay to much. just started them at what you payed.

I bought ugg boots and they were childs not womens. The seller has no return policy. I bought them with paypal. They never said womens or childs. I asked before buying for inches on bottom but never got reply and bought them. What do I do ...resell or get paypal to help or what. I contacted the seller and she has not responded at all.

In terms of international sales, how does one respond when you have shipped and sold an item abroad and they claim they still have not received their item one month later? I have no way to track int'l, and they didn't order insurance. I am curious to see how others handle this. Fortunately, this rarely occurs. Thanks!

As a newbie, I'm in the market for dress form/mannequin/ plastic injected mold. I'm eager to present my clothing items in a quality manner, however, I don't know how to choose what will work best. There is such a wide variation in measurements, ie 33-24-35, 34-24-34, 34-25-36, etc.. Which measurements are best suited for the widest range of clothing sizes? My clothing stock consists of teen sizes & female adult sizes 1 thru 16. Also, which length of dress/slacks form works best, upper torso/hip, some leg, or longer leg. For durability and eas of use, which works best, plastic dress form, pinable cloth dress form, or the flat plastic forms? I'm also considering a plastic headless mannequin with arms. Yet again, the range in measurements has me stumped.


I'd like to hear back from other sellers as to what works best for them, as there are so many options. I'm concerned with the time/effort it takes to do clothing changes for the photo shoot, as well as which measurement(s) work best, and type of manni/dress form. Budget is also a concern. One more thing, I've seen different shoulder widths available on the dress forms as well as design. Any input there?

Any ideas, suggestions and sharing of your story regarding cloths presentation are greatly welcomed.

Man, I do not like the way this chat operates! Should be a comment or reply button underneath the comment you want to reply to.

Sdlights, what I think is the seller who is selling the item you mentioned, has more than one item. I don't see anything wrong with that. Auctions are a big gamble for the seller. So, maybe the seller is just putting one item up at a time, and if they get the price they want, they put up another one after or before the first item sells.

Otherwise I think it would be a dutch auction? I dont' like those. sandra

Hello, Taking a break from discounting items tonight. It has been a real slow week. I have not sold anything since last Tuesday. I was thinking sales was picking up...

Anyways I discounted 38 listings by 70% Off today. I need to list some more items. Things are piling up! But, I hate to keep listing more and more items, if items are not selling.

I have joined a few other venues. And, have sold a few items on them. If an item sells, I focus on that venue and put more items in it.

I am thinking about deleting some venues which I have been using. Have not sold anything on them, so why waste my time? Or do you think they get publicity on google or the search engines?

Well, life is slow right now. Need to rethink of a different way to make some money on the net. Any suggestions? I don't have any money to invest, so don't includes those. sandra

Please tell me what you think is going on here -
I see an item and bid on it a few times. It goes over my price and is sold to someone else. The next day the same seller is listing the same thing - with the same picture. In fact I think that I have seen this more than once.

Sellers aren't allowed to say they take money orders in thier listing bcs ebay wants us to use thier service (paypal) only, but we can still take money orders. You can message a seller and ask them if they will. Some will and some won't. You can also use a debit card like a chg card or an e-check to buy with. It is unfortunate they started this, it hurts sellers, and buyers that are good customers. But do try asking sellers of items you are interested in to see if they will take a money order. I for one will.

I have been reading your posts and as an avid clothing buyer what bothers me more than anything is when the sellers do not list measurements..Then when I go to ask a question, some sellers have a list of answers to other questions and I CAN"T ask a question about measurements because ebay blocks out any other questions from members..what's the deal? A lot of the sellers are complaining about sales..well, list the measurements..because I for one will not buy anything without measurements!!!

My sales have dropped over 80% since Ebay started this new system. I am (or used to be) a top seller but NO SALES despite their efforts to convince me that I have advantages over other sellers. It is attrocious, I've addapted and lived through many ebay changes throughout the years but this one I cannot figure out!!! Hopefully, they will do something to change this!! Please call Ebay to let them know you are not selling and maybe they will listen if enough of us contact them.

I just had a person tell me I shouldn't used the word "polo" in a listing unless I'm referring directly to Ralph Lauren's Polo line.

Yeah, because there's absolutely no other polo styled shirts out there by any other brand. Forget Izod, Lacoste, etc. Forget the clear photos, clear absence of the RL logo and the fact that I never used the name Ralph Lauren. How dare I be so confusing.

I grow weary of people that bid without reading or even viewing. They just click and bid and take their impulse buys out on the seller.

Newbi here. Been buying quality clothing from thrift stores for 30 years last three years mostly Macy level sports coats $300-350 when new my cost $10-25. I look for made in USA union label and other quality features. Starting to move up in the world. Just started looking at Ebay sports coast and I'm amazed at prices (low). Got my eye on a cashmere sports coat $1300 offered at $200. My question is how do the sellers sell Italian brand name sport coats so cheaply? I realize some are "previously owned" but some are apparently new. I also realize that offer/auction price may go up. I see 7K suit for %800. For real? Are these factory rejects?

oh. a heads up. there is a big conterfitting (sp) scam going on right now. they are printing $100 bills on $5 bills. so the pens don't show them up because the paper is correct. so hold all $100 bills up to the light. the president in the lower right corner and the president in the middle should match. if not - don't take it. big time money laundering going on. they are buying at stores with the fake money and then returning the items and getting real cash back.

Hi, hope everyone has a great Halloween. I recently received a negative remark from a buyer. They said the item received had a musty odor, and when I shipped the item it smelled fine....I wouldn't list an item unwashed if it smelled musty to me and risk a negative mark. Though I really don't think I can do anything but respond as I did to buyers remarks. HOWEVER, I received another negative mark when a buyer CUT THE PACKAGE OPEN WHEN SHE RECEIVED IT, AND CUT THE ITEM..>SHE EVEN SAID SHE CUT IT WHEN OPENING IT IN HER NEGATIVE REMARK...Said the package was too small for the item. ARE WE really responsible IF a buyer CUTS AND ITEM????? I don't think we should be held accountable for their "STUPIDITY"...if they see a small package, WHY would they cut it and not just take tape off??? Has anyone else had the problem of not receiving items purchased? I have purchased from two different seller and have not received the items. One was purchased on the 3rd of Oct and the other one on the 9th of Oct. I emailed both sellers and only one respond. Saying that it was sent but no tracking number. the other had a tracking number but it say no update since Oct 16, 2009. I'll contact Paypal next.

I won the auction item #: 150381518408 Item UNISEX VINTAGE RETRO NIKE HOODED BOMBER JACKET, realized the Paypal payment for the value of the product plus the value of the shipment. I received an email from the seller at paypal saying my payment was canceled because it had charged a shipping amount too low and would recalculate the shipping amount and send a new invoice via Paypal. I do not think just because I won the auction with the shipping amount already said, I did the payment of the combined value. What do I do?

I've been looking online for MBT shoes, and comparing prices to find the best deal. One online store had them for $95 with free shipping, another $130 with free shipping. So I check eBay, looking for a deal, and I find them for twice the cost--$199. So my question is, why would an eBay seller outprice other online stores? Doesn't this work against a seller? Isn't eBay the place to find a good deal--or at least a better deal than elsewhere, otherwise I don't get it. what's the point of eBay when it comes to selling things like shoes or purses that can be bought elsewhere if there isn't some kind of competitive pricing?

elaf2009, I would ask the seller if you can get a refund? you can explain you believe it is not real and simply would like the refund.... or call or email ebay and ask them what to do directly.? If the seller does not cooperate, you can report them but I don't know the policy as far as what happens from there

Maski Are you always makeing sure you get confirmation on all of the items you ship? That is really to protect you. I can't see them chargeing you if the item was claimed not delivered if you got confirmation. Many will use this as an excuse to scam you if they see you didn't.

I just recently shipped some drapes parcel because they were so heavy and didn't have far to go. But I ordinarily would never use parcel.. Only first class if under 13 oz. and always get confirmation.

I had one a few months ago. She did not answer my e-mails. Her feedback had two or three no pay on them. She had 100% score becausse she only brought a few items. Not fair.
I also had a guy who reported me for product never delivered. I know it was because I did not get it back. The person never answered my e-mails. And paypal took the money out of my account for the price of the item.
NOT FAIR. What do you do with this situation?

Has anyone had several non-paying bidders by any chance in the last few weeks ? I have had SEVERAL and it gets very frustrating as you have to wait for payment for 5 days, open a dispute, wait for yet another 4 days, and then re-list the item if payment is still not received.

I ship parcel once in a while and I have not ever had any problems. I use the regular envelopes and also the poly envelopes. They are very light weight and will not rip int he mail due to the poly like material. I can get 100 large poly envelopes on here for about $13.00 with free shipping. These envelopes are great and really pay for themselves. People think that parcel is cheaper than priority but it seems like USPS is making a lot of changes and now it is actually more expensive to ship parcel than priority. Just a thought :)

I bought a bridesmaid dress a few days ago. The dress was listed as new, never worn and purchased last month for more than $250.I got the dress today.Pulled it out of the box and my daughter yelled "it's covered in stains!!!!" Well, it sure was. Many stains. One is 6 inches by 6 inches!! Then there are many smaller stains the size of a quarter. It also has sweat and deo. stains!!! I've been selling and buying on ebay for years and have never run across this problem before. I don't want my feedback ruined by this person if I give her bad feedback, but she totally ripped me off and I don't want her to do it to others! How do I prevent the bad feedback?

I use priority envelopes and priority boxes and I have never had issue with it from my customers. I have never shipped Parcel, but I have some friends that are sellers and the when they have shipped Parcel the customer would email and tell them that the envelope was torn. But my friends which are sellers say that they ship in envelopes b/c the shipping is costly, but they can save more when they ship in envelopes and parcel.
