OK, I need some help...anyone know where I could get a copy of 1980's TV special The Halloween That Almost Wasn't ?? It featured Judd Hirsch, Mariette Hartley, Henry Gibson and John Schuck, among others. I remember it as being really funny, is it still? Who knows. Would love to be able to find a copy of it though!!!! Anyone know where I could find one...Netflix doen't have it, neither does e-Bay, already tryed. Am off to try Amazon now, but, thought someone here might know how to find it!???

Also, I'm looking for any action/adventure games where you don't kill people. I'm ok if they kill monsters, robots, zombies, aliens that are monster-like, etc. They are getting a little older and bored with the kiddy games, but I want to set some boundaries, and this is how I'm doing it.

(OK, I couldn't remember if I had to code line breaks or not.)

Where there's a whip. . .

Dang, that's a goofy memory. All those Orcs were horrible droolers IIRC. I'd be running around Middle Earth with a mop. Or Sam would, probably.

Hello everyone! And happy belated birthdays to both Deb and Rashka!

Lots of stuff, lemme see. Yeah, the Doctor Who specials haven't been so great. Kinda blah, and depressing to think this is Tennant's near-last hurrah. I'm hoping the last segments make up for the daftness that came immediately before.

Then there's Torchwood . . . for all the silly episodes the last "special" series (Children of Earth) was excellent. I loved loved LOVED the ending. Jack running away is the perfect way to end the series, though I've heard rumors that there will be a 4th series sometime in the future.

Could be fun if it was just Harkness in Space, I'm sick to the back teeth of Gwen Cooper. Cute as she is, you can't get around the fact she's ANNOYING as heck.

The second episode of Flash Forward, titled "White to Play," dragged in 10.78 million viewers for ABC at 8pm on Thursday. According to the data, that's about 87% of the audience who stuck around to watch, since the 12.41 million viewers at the premiere. It has a prime slot airing before Grey's Anatomy, which already has a pretty solid fan base. It's also shown at the same time as 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, which don't really do all that well in ratings. The only other competition it has is, as I said, is Survivor. But since that reality show might be past its glory days, it has a chance to last a bit....

Hello! Is anyone watching Fast Forward and/or Fringe? Both seem really good so far! I was wondering how they could keep FlashForward going, seemed more like a move to me, but, they have lots of story lines to follow already! Has anyone watched Vampire Diaries yet? Have not had the chance to catch a whole episode yet, flipped over a few times the other night, did not appeal to me? Guess i should watch a whole episode and give it a chance?!

Parpat - Now you are talking about my favorite movie "Barbarella"-1968. The local Starlight Drive-in showed it last year at their annual Labor Day bash. No matter how many time I watch it, I still love that film.
By the way, the Drive-In was great as usual, and I spent the entire night watching some wonderful films, and listening to some excellent bands. In fact, I did not get home until 7:30am this morning. I annual drive-in should not to be missed: I had a great time! The drive-in will never die!

Zardoz...Sean Connery in a red diaper. :D Fun movie, though. First saw it at age 17 on a date. Didn't know it was rated R! I kinda embarrassed easily back then.

Pat??? HONOLULU – Stinky city bus riders soon could get soaked. The Honolulu City Council is considering a bill that would impose up to a $500 fine and/or up to six months in jail for public transit passengers convicted of being too smelly.

The bill will be heard Thursday in committee. It would make it illegal to have "odors that unreasonably disturb others or interfere with their use of the transit system."

It doesn't matter if it's body odor or offensive fumes that emanates from clothes, personal belongings or animals.

Councilmen Rod Tam and Nestor Garcia co-sponsored the anti-odor bill.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii says it is concerned with laws that are inherently vague, which opens the door to discriminatory enforcement based on an officer's individual prejudices.

I went to District 9 yesterday. There were 2 sets of baddies -- a Blackwater type private security force and some baddies inside the alien concentration camp. The 2nd baddies were running all sorts of scams and ripoffs on the aliens. Who were the bad guys? Why, Nigerians of course....Hahahahaaa..

Strange that the Hobbit and the trilogy became three movies, alternating between Rankin and Bass, and Bakshi. I'm glad the live action will maintain Peter Jackson, throughout. I wonder how many of the characters that share the stories will return?

rash.... mmmmm some DS9 fan you are !!! heheheheheheee

Visitor was married to Nick Miscusi before she was cast on DS9, but the two divorced in 1994 shortly after the series began. The two had a son named Buster.

Visitor married fellow Star Trek actor Alexander Siddig (formerly Siddig el-Fadil) in 1997. They had a son in 1996, named Django El Tahir El Siddig, and her pregnancy was incorporated into a DS9 storyline. Visitor and Siddig divorced in 2001.

Visitor married Matthew Rimmer on April 2, 2003. They currently live in Corrales, New Mexico.

The acclaimed sci-fi thriller "District 9" has given Hollywood a late-summer box office boost.
The alien saga produced by "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson led the weekend with a $37 million debut.
Another sci-fi tale, the romance "The Time Traveler's Wife," opened a solid No. 2 with $19.2 million.

"Day Of The Triffids" a wonderful movie, but also a fantastic book! John Wyndham's novel is a science-fiction masterpiece. I would love to see someone a do remake of "Day Of The Triffids." However, the film version should be more like the book.

What was that movie where there was a fantastic meteror shower and most people on earth went blind? Was that Day Of the Triffeds??? (spelling might be off there!)
