Way-to-go Pez! . . . Yeah can buy most VHS tapes for about a buck nowadays usually . . . Remember when VHS first hit the shelves they were like $60 each to buy one . . .
Posted by   ( ) on Nov-09-09 at 17:01:39 PST   Listings
Fant, it's one of the reasons I still have so many VHS tapes. I can easily splice broken tapes, and can even move the reels from one cartridge to another. The tapes are really getting cheap at yard sales as folks move to the newer technology. Too bad they take up so much room.

Howdy Movie Boarders!! Happy Halloween Eve!!!!

Does anyone know how I could find a copy of a 1980's TV special, The Halloween That Almost Wasn't ????? It featured Judd Hirsch as Dracula, Mariette Hartley as a witch, I think, Henry Gibson and John Schuck were also in it. I tryed Netflix and e-Bay, don't have it. Hope some one will be able to help! Never forgot the bit when Dracula turned himself into a bat, to get out of a locked room, as he repeated "teeny tiny bat, teenie tiny bat" over and over, then poof, he was a tiny bat and went under the door!! I'm so childish, but, would love to find this old gem! Thanks guys!

According to Wikipedia:

On January 1, 1965, miffed at having to work on the holiday, Sales ended his live broadcast by encouraging his young viewers to tiptoe into their still-sleeping parents' bedrooms and remove those "funny green pieces of paper with pictures of U.S. Presidents" from their pants and pocketbooks. "Put them in an envelope and mail them to me," Soupy instructed the children. "And I'll send you a postcard from Puerto Rico!" He was then hit with a pie. Several days later, a chagrined Soupy announced that money (mostly Monopoly money) was unexpectedly being received in the mail. He explained that he had been joking and announced that the contributions would be donated to charity. As parents' complaints increased, WNEW's management felt compelled to suspend Sales for two weeks. Young viewers picketed Channel 5. The uproar surrounding Sales' suspension increased his popularity.

SQUASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were here and I missed you! I don't come in here every day anymore but I do read all the posts. Hope you are doing well? I'm madly doing laundry since today is the only decent day for the next week because we have to typhoons bouncing around not far away so I need to get as much stuff as I can done before the rain starts again.

Johnanddon2009, The Miracle on the Mountain is a TV movie. They are rarely released onto DVD. Your best chance of getting it is to record it when it comes on TV again. It's frustrating I know. There are seveal TV movies I'd like to have as well but they just aren't interested in releasing most of them.

Hello everyone.
