I saw mention of Williams, AZ. Some time in the 1990's, first Hubby, Mike, and I ate in a nice little place there. They had the best hot dogs! We took a trip to Grand Canyon, stayed overnight in Flagstaff, went thru some little towns, Williams,(Cotton or Cottonwood?), took a tour of a "haunted" museum in Jerome, shopped at some street vendors, ended up in Prescott for some shopping, then back to Las Vegas. It was fun!

"Irish Viagra

An Irish woman of advanced age visited her physician to ask his advice on reviving her husband's libido.

'What about trying Viagra?' asked the doctor.
'Not a chance', she said. 'He won't even take an aspirin.'

'Not a problem,' replied the doctor. 'Give him an 'Irish Viagra'..
It's when you drop the Viagra tablet into his coffee. He won't even taste it.. Give it a try and call me in a week to let me know how things went..'

It wasn't a week later when she called the doctor, who directly inquired as to her progress.

The poor dear exclaimed, 'Oh, faith, bejaysus and begorrah! T'was horrid! Just terrible, doctor!'

'Really? What happened?' asked the doctor.

'Well, I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee and the effect was almost immediate. He jumped straight up, with a twinkle in his eye and with his pants a-bulging fiercely! With one swoop of his arm, he sent me cups and tablecloth flying, ripped me clothes to tatters and took me then and there passionately on the tabletop! T'was a nightmare, I tell you, an absolute nightmare!'

'Why so terrible?' asked the doctor, 'Do you mean the sex your husband provided wasn't good?'

'Freakin' jaysus, 'twas the best sex I've had in 25 years! But sure as I'm sittin' here, I'll never be able to show me face in Starbucks again!

Yup, I stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. The mural is painted on what was a JC Penney. The store burned down but the fire department saved the wall! Now the town has converted the area to a Rte 66 "shrine." I guess the local merchants hope to draw more tourists with that than the "standing on the corner" stuff. *LOL* We're gonna stop there this summer, just to see what's what.

Some parts of I-15 to Los Angeles is 65 mph, and I think there's even a stretch that's 75, but not sure. Haven't gone on it since 2004, when I moved back up here from Calif. My little Ford pickup truck would only go 25 mph up the steep hills, but could fly around 85 in some places. I never speed anymore, but I sure used to fly down the road in those days! I took excellent care of my vehicles! Oil & spark plug changes almost every trip, total maintenance checks, carried all extra supplies. I never had any problems, except for a tire blowout on Hollywood freeway on the one trip when I had friends following me in their car! The guy changed my tire and we went on our way!

I used to leave around 4 am and get to L.A. between 8 and 10 am. I'd make one stop in Barstow for gas, bathroom, & maybe snacks. Might stop in Baker and/or Victorville as well, depending on gas, food, tummy, weather. I used to go thru San Bernardino... 15 to 10 to 210... to stop in Monrovia at Grandma's, then maybe up 101 to Thousand Oaks to sister's. Maybe some shopping in L.A. After my Grandma passed away, I switched to turning off in Victorville onto Pearblossom Highway toward Lancaster/Palmdale, then south to San Fernando Valley and then north to T.O, totally bypassing L.A./Hollywood, and going on to my sister's place.

There was a Channel One once upon a time--in 1945, to be precise, when the Federal Communications Commission first allocated broadcast television frequencies.

Later, however, the FCC repented its generosity and decided that TV was hogging too much of the broadcast spectrum. (Each TV channel requires a bandwidth 600 times as wide as an individual radio station does.) So the Channel One band (44 to 50 MHz) was reassigned for use by people with mobile radios.

Ooops! Forgot my color! I have Direct TV (free with my rent), and that's one of 50 channels I get. I usually switch between Syfy, USA, and TNT. If nothing good there, then I start at 51 and click down until I find something interesting (or tolerable). There's no channel 1.

In 2004 my sister and I were driving from Thousand Oaks, CA to Las Vegas, and we saw a minivan ahead of us fly up into the air and spin! When it came down, a semi bumped it before they all came to a halt. The lady driving was banged up a bit, but she and her hubby were ok. Thank God they didn't have the baby with them, as they said they usually did! My sister had her cell phone and she called 911. A van full of Aussie soccer players stopped and helped clear debris from the road so other traffic could get by. The van blocked both lanes, and everybody had to go around on the right shoulder.

I'm watching a show called "Dangerous Drives". It's about highway 15, between Rancho Cucamonga and Las Vegas. Pretty frightening stuff!!!! They said it is the most deadly stretch of road in the USA! I used to drive it every 2 or 3 months, Las Vegas to L.A. !

My mom, sister and then 12 y.o. son drove to Disney World. First stopped at Memphis, Pensacola Island, Tampa then to Orlando. The most fun I had was in Memphis. Got loaded on some Margaritas at a hotel bar with a live band and ended up sleeping in the bathtub at the motel. LOL My sister said I tried to give my address to some dude at the bar who lived in W. Memphis and she wouldn't let me. She told him to get lost. LOL

"The second guitarist is Alain Johannes, who was big in the San Diego scene back in the 80's. Flea, Jack Irons, and Hillel Slovak were in his band before they started the Chili Peppers. He recorded and played on the QOTSA albums and the TCV album."

Them Crooked Vultures:

(I think this board has the 4th guy answer)
PT | Phish | Message Board | Them Crooked Vultures on SNL http://bit.ly/bDTIw1

Well, I was busy fighting some vicious porn spammers at my brother's birdwatching board and I missed the first few seconds of the performance. When I heard them I went downstairs to see what-the-hell the clatter was, and there they were, right next to the mashed potatoes.

I mentioned that to my son as we were battling the porn spammers and he got all upset that he had forgotten to watch but seconds later some dude uploaded the performance to the ubiquitous YouTube.

I am not sure if I heard the second song and missed the first or if there was just one song.

My son immediately asked "who was the fourth guy" to which I answered, "I don't know" but I switched my Twitter Stream over to Them Crooked Vultures and I'll tell you what buddy, they drew some attention.

The Tweeters seemed divided.

I personally did not care for the performance but the intensity was, as we always say, awesome.
