Don't feel alone, checking the other boards, the norm happened again.
ebay tried fixing something that was working and now you either get a big 0 or a warning of : We were unable to run the search you entered. Please try again in a few minutes.
The problem is that it has gone past minutes and has been hours.

For the 2nd time this week 2 different e-bay sellers have "stolen" my truck listing. They have used everything exactly including the VIN # etc etc. On Thursday e-bay removed the fraudulant ad immediatly. Today when we discovered it again the incompetant online security cancelled our ad and left the fraudulant on!! It is on at this very moment!! I just checked. Thursday it was someone from Chino California and now today someone from Ohio. We live in Iowa!!! They have listed at the bottom please contact "this" e-mail if you want to buy it now. Is'nt that alone enough to get kicked off e-bay? I am so frustrated. This fraudulant add has many bids from I am sure ususpecting bidders. They are going to lose a lot of money the next few days, or even worse if they "but it now" behind the scenes. We have contacted our local law enforcement and made them aware. Have any of you heard of this? I am suprised at e-bay's lack of security. Does it not throw a red flag up anywhere when to vehicles are posted with identical VIN #'s??

Try going to the "Help" link, upper right hand corner and type what you need to know in, such as "Ebay's Vehicle Protection Plan".Here's what came up:

MAKE SURE that your not talking about a scam that is going around. You see a car on craigslist and the owner says he wants to use ebay as a 3rd party.
that is not correct!
Ebay and craigslist do not work together.
Ebay does not hold money or cars, it is only a selling venue.

have a question and a problem, i have a 53 chevy handyman station wagon, the problem, it has drum front brakes and spindle on the drum won't allow me to mount cragar wire wheel, question, what can i do to change the drum to get smaller diameter bearing cone and what year if possible?

I'm looking for some help in identifying some old Prestolite parts ( mostly ignition stuff ) . It's all new in boxes - with the part numbers on them - but they just don't come up anywhere online . I've got no old catalogues that list Prestolite either. All I do know is that the parts are pre-1974.
Anyone know where a guy could figure out the applications ?

Do you mean the exhaust manifold?
If the exhaust manifold is the one that glows, you have a very lean burn condition or a retarded timing condition, or possibly a combination of both, or possibly a serious situation developing with the spark plugs (exceptionally hot exhaust gases or flaming situation within the exhaust system).

If you mean the intake manifold, you have even worse conditions developing... /-:

You mean engine?
The most popular engine is any one of a 350, 400 (a small block), 402 (a big block).

As far as a motor, you have many, the heater/ac blower motor, the windshield wiper motor, the power window motors (if equipped), the power top motor (if it is a convertible with power top), seat motor (if equipped with power seat), etc, etc.

A "motor" is electrically functioned, the device that powers the vehicle is an internal combustion device known as the "engine"...

Every eBay and Craig's List page states NEVER use a Money Gram to purchase a big dollar item. Why would this be any different?

Have you inspected the vehicle?
Does the vehicle actually exist?
Have you talked to the legal owner in person?

Computerized speedometers are real close and they can be reprogrammed for different tire sizes most of the time.

Hello everyone. This is my first time here so if I'm asking a question that has been asked many times before, I'm sorry.

I recently had the speedometer sensor go out on my truck. This is the first I knew that they were no longer driven by a cable. This makes me wonder. Do the wrong size tires create an error like the cable driven speedometers did? Also, How accurate are the computerized speedometers compared to the old style? IE: 3%@60mph, 4%@70mph, etc.

Pretty day here today too.
Sunny and about 73°.

If the leaves are dry enough tomorrow, I have to go around the fence line with the blower and then vacuum them.
Hopefully this will be the last time this year.
The county will probably come this week, hope I can beat them.

How do I follow an auto auction live? Is there a way to watch the time click down and keep CURRENT on the progress of the auction? can someone help me out with someadvice? So i saw this amazing truck on craigslist and emailed the lady about it. Well she took it off craigslist and she said she put it on ebay...she said she did it so there would be no fraud. Well I'm confused because 1. the car is a crazy good deal and 2. i cant find the car on ebay.... does this mean its a fraud?

Got the Kid to put the used shocks on old lady car last weekend she took it to the glass shop today said it was great now.
$263 bucks for a windshield
Adjust the hood a little
Touch up some scratches
Order the windshield
and a few other small things it's ready to roll
Then I get to do the one the kids wrecked does it ever end

Could be the ground wire or the sending unit is on the blink. My 2000 silverado did the same thing. Sending unit was going bad. Since its in the fuel tank I changed the whole assembly so that I would remove the fuel tank once! Good luck....
