Posted by   ( ) on Feb-09-10 at 07:35:20 PST   Listings suds im trying to convince my mother to lower it down. ive explained it to her i guess is that she had it for years. is the person who posted some of what i said starts with ddfdda something like that, they said hello to me and this morning i replied back to them i checked some post and i couldnt find any thing that they copied on what i said kinda got me a bit worried i really dont want know problems with them ive heard some people get reported banned off of ebay personnaly i couldnt do that to any body especially all the hard work people do here how they build up their rep here and i had no idea that you were suppose to claim your sold stuff to the irs, i never put sales tax on my item just sold it as is never reported it great thing to learn as soon as i can im going to try put something cheap up i had bidded on a couple of things but dang im always outbidded it goes so fast seconds later some one puts an higher bid you can really get into it but i do have a spending limit, and it depends on what i like

In case you don't know what rabbit tobacco is well when I was a child we had woods right over the hill from the house and there was some kind of stalk that had leaves on it so when it dried up we would pull the leaves off and crush them then we would get a plain brown paper lunch bag from our houses and make a cig. I keep Mary a case of bottled water here and make sure she drinks at least 3 of those a day. I dispise bottled water, but that way I can monitor better then with the glasses that I lose track of! Her significant other (boyfriend) says he will not be going off and leaving her alone again. This time alone was really hard on her. We set and talked about our brother Jake, who was killed in an auto accident when he was 29. She remembers just has a hard time spitting out what she wants to say. Max: What is really amazing is how easy someone else can get in to ebay and change mys email and passwords and such and I can't! I have to come up with more verifications than you can shake a stick at. b4: I quit smoking March 1. Just got tired of buying them and then cleaning up after myself and smelling like a chimney. Now got weaker glasses because eyes have improved. B4, I seldom collect anything that is souvenir related. Pottery and glass things what I look for. Few yrs. ago everyplace had restaurant ware, now hard to find. Cedar, sorry your son's team lost in finals. Hubby down to 3/4 pkg. a day. Everyone says the new paper they use on cigarettes makes them taste horrible. Supposed to go out and not cause fires. Probably another bad chemical to suck into body. Sure looks like some people aren't going to get dug out from last two storms and another one getting ready to move across the country. Anyone have any idea why my drier has started wrinkling the clothes so bad? Checked and vent is clear, drier doesn't feel any warmer then usual. Same type and size loads I usually do. Believe me, I thought every day about what to do as MOM's illness progressed. She's a tough one sometimes. Often when she was having a 'feeling better' moment, she would tell us that she wasn't 'sick'. Hard to get her to take a tylenol to forestall a fever, cuz she just balks at taking any more pills. (cantblameherasidisliketakingthemtoo;) I started planting the idea a few days ago that her cough sounded alot like mine, and perhaps she was developing bronchitis. I called her dr. this ayem and talked with him about her. I decided to call JEAN to come over and help me get MOM to the care clinic. With the two of us here, she didn't really balk. She said that if she left soon at least she'd be back sooner. LOL! Found out that she did have bronchitis and was in the very beginning stage of pneumonia. A stiff antibiotic and several other 'pillish' accessories later and she already is having slightly fewer symptoms. Oh, BTW, did I mention that we told her the doc told us that either we should take her in, or we should tell her that we were to call an ambulance to come for her? heheh! I do believe that helped a tad. ; ) I ate tonight and I COULD TASTE IT!!! LOU....I am on MOM about taking liquids like a flea on a dog. She does well because I make sure the gals always have tea or juice sitting in front of her at all times. One of the things I've learned over the past 10 years coming back here. I hope Mary's daughter can find something that will bring her enjoyment like some of the pass-times she had during her stay with you. That would be wonderful. : ) We had snow flurries here up NORT today. SUDZIE....So sorry about how your mother died. It's very difficult for me when medical things happen with MOM if I'm in CA. You have to watch many medical people like a hawk nowadays. : / B4....My sister and I set MOM up with private 24/7 caregivers last fall. It truly is expensive, but a necessity. At 93 we have to keep constant vigilance as to her condition to maintain balance with all the meds and medical necessities it takes to keep her live as pleasant as possible. Worth every penny. : ) CEDAR....I think MOM and I are both on the road to recovery, and it sure does feel goog! : ) CA:WI:

Pueblo is in the foothills and Rye is in the Rocky Mountains.Yes, the golf course is open for tee offs. I don't know if someone not on ebay can report you, but the point is, there is nothing to report me for since I am very accurate on my listings and if I don't know about something I am upfront about that. Just a pain the the royal place to deal with. The username is always on these emails, that is how I knew who sent it and that they were no longer listed. Anyway, on to bigger and better things. Your the first person I've known to collect restaraunt items. The only place that I can think of around here that peolpe seek are from the old Hotel Utah. I have a few souvinier items from Las Vegas that are along the same lines, I think. Stirrers, Ashtray, Poker Chip, and Plastic Coin Cups. Suds- Great advice for Allies mom. I know that healthcare cost a fortune, but sometimes it's the only way. Cedar- Thanks for the kudos. It's not really a big deal to me, that I don't drink. Also have a little follower around ebay who has 1 feedback and is no longer a member who contacts me through ebay and tells me she is going to report me. For what, I ask. No answer.About one more time of that and I am going to report her to someone. Who do you suggest since all the correspondence comes through ebay? Had a lovely visit in Rye on Thursday. Had lunch at a little Mexican Food resuraunt on the Golf Course in Colorado City on the way up. Sister Mary will be going home on the 20th. She is already getting depressed. Found her crying Friday so took her for a little drive. We are probably going to skip church today since it is communion Sunday and she is Catholic. Don't know if she knows she is Catholic, but her kids might be upset, so just play it safe. Snow is supposed to start today at noon and continue until Monday noon. East coast sure got it. Sam will be going to California on 22 of Feb to rent apartment. Only taking 2 dogs. Allan will stay behind with third dog and move out when he gets a job there and Sam is settled. I hate that. Thank you for the great birthday wishes for MOM, and I did share them all with her. Also thanks for the comments about getting well soon. MOM hasn't changed much with fevers off and on, but her cough is getting terribly chesty. And of course it is the weekend, it's icicle cold outside, and she's 93. sigh..... I still can't taste very much at all. I still have to make myself eat some healthy food so my body doesn't get under-nourished or whatever. Last night I could taste for awhile, but not so much today. Lost a whole week here getting much less accomplished than was needed, but can't do much about that. : / Sorry about several of you who experienced computer virus probs. Ugh! I went to sleep watching TV, and must have laid on tuner. Took me 5 minutes to find the right button to get things up and running again. Rule at our house, no matter where I happen to go to sleep...leave me there. Cedar, never been able to get interest in baseball. Think the old announcers turned me off. Action slow on diamond, so they rambled on and on about nothing. b4, like to find things with name of restaurant on them. Also get into ship and RR china. My treasures... Wabash RR things with their banner logo. Have a Studebaker coffee mug that I cherish. Always looking for individual creamers and butter pats. GF loved to collect bottles. We would go out looking for old home sites in N. MI. Can smell that first pot of coffee. Sure hope tomatoes not priced to far out of sight. Need some for my Taco Sunday dishes. I have one 21 year ols scotch mini bottle, never opened, and I haven't drank in close to 20 years, so I'm guessing it must be 40 to 50 year old scotch by now. I've done some travelling with work to attend classes or what not and was in Basic training in Fort Dix, which I know dates me some. I'm happily married and raising a grandson that is 11 yrs old with autism. We have leagal custody of him and his older sister that is 13 yrs and back living with her mother. I work in the kitchen cabinet industry. KraftMaid was booming and going to open a state-of-the-art plant here in Utah before the economy soured. I spent a few months in Ohio with them training for when they opened the Utah plant. I'm mainly a machine operator and have also trained in North Carolina. Before my father in law passed away, he lived in Tennessee. I've also spent a lot of time in California, Nevada, and Arizona. The company I work for now is owned by a company in Alabama so I've spent a couple of days there also. Pez, I'm not sure what your talking about with spammers?? How does that work? I never got into stamps much and just sold off all I had in the last month. I would have been farther ahead to use them for postage. But I don't really sell things to make money. I just like to trade around. I but then sell then buy some more and sell some more. I just like all the variety in the coins. I have a few old bottles that I was looking at on that link that Allie posted the other day. It seems like a pretty broad catagory so I thought I might learn something here. Posted by   ( ) on Feb-04-10 at 09:49:27 PST   Listings Hi EVERYONE------Had my second cataract removed on Tues...Our small but very fine hospital and 3 bad emergencys that morning which put them way behind...We "eye" people had to wait and wait...Nearly three hours...No food since the night before but I had taken my necessary pills and so they were there on my empty stomach...Bad for me...I got thur the surgery ok but had a very upset lower tract all day yesterday and not much sleep...Much better today and my yesterday check up went fine...Just have to take it easy one more day and then try to remember not to bend over and lower my head... Mark and Lesley got back...They had a wonderful time and did go to Orange City and John Know Village retirement place and visited with my brothers and wives...They know the younger one quite well having seen he and his wife a number of times here and in DC....But my older brother who is past 91 they have only seen a very few times. Oh how they raved over how nice he was dressed and how well he does for his age...Sharp as a tack and really doesn't walk----He sort of trots always finding something to show people. They love compamy...Mark wants to go back soon to visit more with my older brother... ALLIE---Sounded like your mother's birthday was a winner. Sorry that you both had a bout with something but are better...It has warmed up some now so that should help...Of course I know that Fondy is much cooler that CA.... Be sure you get vit C for the immune and some times a little Echinacea will help. At first sign of anything I make hot tea with lemon juice, honey and ginger. Ginger makes you sweat profusely. Tea tastes like crap, but usually does a number on what ever I have. Son Sam is looking to relocate to California in the Bay area if I am not mistaken but will know in a few days. Today is bone scan day and supposed to go to Rye up in the mountains, but we got like 3 inches last night so Rye probably got 3 feet. Will have to wait and see. Sister Mary is still putting elastic in seed catchers. Have her doing aerobics now. Not very coordinated, but trying. She will be going home the 20 or 2lst of this month. She has doctor appointments the last week. Then if Larry is not back from Texas, I will go get her again. All agree she is very happy out here does much better than when alone. DUH!! Found myself locked out of paypal yesterday. Now that I look back I think it was panic on my side and I put email in instead of user name, but scared me so I got them on the phone and changed password again. Must get around. Couple of people think they own it and bad mouth those they don't like. I like to hear from everyone, even if I don't agree with it. My computer got a virus the other day and blew up yesterday so I am working on re-learning the computer again. I got me a new HP with Windows 7 installed on it. Another challenge that shall try my patience for awhile. I'm liking this board quite a bit. Much easier to keep up with and easier to catch up on. Cedar, the virus I had was what Best Buy called a "scare ware" My wifes programs wouldn't open and a internet page would keep opening that said you needed to buy their anti-virus software. I finally went to my user account and deleted her completely, her account that is. Best buy told me the scareware would still be on the computer though. Once you give the anti-virus your credit card to pay for the software, they have you. Thank heavens I didn't give in to them. The cost to fix my old computer would have been $200 to remove the virus and probably another $200 to $300 to repair whatever burned up in it. A new computer only cost $400, so now I get to learn a new operating system. b4

I did .. we were selling autographed pix & SOUND WAVs .. he loved doing it all . people would write what they wanted him to say . some were really GREAT and I kept copies of them all .. but THAT obsession wore out and a lovely FAN in UK took over 'the official Robert Fuller' pages .. since Bob is out of state . no way to do sound wavs (if he knew how to use computer.he coudl .but does NOT) .. he still signs pix or autographs . Used to auction scripts and stuff he had . all autographed . made tons of money for him . but again . bored with it .. and sent MOST all of it to him.. gave rest of "Laramie" scripts and other things to his oldest son .. every once in a while will find something still around here .have a magazine either German or Japanese that IS MINE . he signed it and one day may put it up . but NOT in the mood .. It really was the most fun I can remember for her b-day. 2 sisses, 2 nieces, b-i-l, and 4 care-gals plus MOM and me. 3 care-gals were here earlier in the day. We laughed and kidded and MOM made out like a bandit with the cleverest of gifts. Truly her most pleasant celebration that I can remember. Before and after were a tad hairy, since MOM had fever and a couple other symptoms of a flu. The later one was worse, but she made it through the party just GrandE. I need to make this short and go make her take a tylenol before she heads to bed for the night. (notaneasytaskcuzshehatesmorepills;) My sinusitis is in full bloom. Haven't been able to taste anything for over 24 hours. I ate a little meat for some protein a short time ago, but no fun eating when you can't taste anything. : / Very busty and full day, but it was also very fulfilling. Pretty outside with 2 or 3 inches of new snow since yesterday. Covered over all the dirty plowed snowpiles. : ) Must go get MOM to take the tylenol now, so she doesn't spike another fever. She really got chills and felt horrible for an hour or so each time. Don't wanna see that again. Scary actually. : O * * M O M * * ..... ALLIE ..... : )

Don said 'Redford is same size as I am .. I had my pix taken with him (RR) to show Don .. he did NOT believe it .. I am 5'6" . RR is about 5'11" . Don was close to my height . Don said 'he had lifts on' (that pix was taken on set of "All the President's Men" .. I said he had loafers on and he is slim .. Don's wardrobe man always worked with RR .. thus I got to know RR a bit .. as I would go to see 'the wardrobe man' .. anyway, one day, after showing him the pix, I said you wanna meet RR? .. forget what movie he was doing then .. but was at WarnerBros . I had never been there back then . Don said YES .. sooo somehow we got thru the main gate? and went where we were told to go .. got on the set and there we found 'wardrobe man' (now a costume designer) .. who called RR into 'the room we were in . tons of makeup tables with mirrors there . not being used though . RR walks into the room . grabs Don by the arm or scruff of the neck (he knew all about the HEIGHT thing) .. pulled him over to the mirror and said 'LOOK, who is taller??) . Don had to say 'you are' as he was about a head taller than Don . same with pix I had of the two of us or maybe more in my pix . & Don had on his lifts .. :) .. Don went to another stage to see Yul Brenner who was doing something? .. so I met him . nice .. but Don said 'I don't understand it . his clothes fit me just fine from what he wore in 'that movie' ) .. I explained that when a wardrobe person needs to fit a 'celeb' or anyone important . they call and ask about sizes of shirts/pants head . whatever they need . shoes .. Sooo what had happened was that they FIT the costume to fit DON .. Don did not know what they were doing with all those questions . I did because had been around production some .. So . when they told him that RR had worn THAT outfit . Don assumed he was same size as Don :) .. Yes, I know about Get Smart, "The Partners" .. a little about "Check it Out" and that clip was from series we did called DonAdamsScreenTest . first show EVER done on Tape at Universal AND .. the stage we used WAS torn down and rebuilt for Conan O'Brien .. I think we need another someone along that line about now with things so messed up. Our children and all those who follow need good humor, it keeps us sane. My sister reports they had three inches of the fluffy white stuff, much more than you all are accustomed to in the winter months. Stay warm! He would come to visit me at Warner Bros almost daily .. we would go to lunch, the guards let him in whether I had left a pass or not .. IF I were not in my trailer (where I was working on "Little Panda") he would sit on a caned chair outside . had been there forever .. he went to Hawaii around January .. think to do Cheryl Ladd's show .. he had a stroke ..he thought he was still married to his first wife (who lived in Hawaii) . She called Diane and got him back here .. he went to the hospital . he LOOKED GREAT . really did .. but Cancer can make you look SO well .. I would go to the hospital daily to visit before work . he would smile .. we hugged and he would always keep asking 'how are you?' .. I think he wanted to know how he was . but never said much other than asking everyone 'how are you' .. he spoke fine but few words ... there was nothing more they could do as they did not 'get it all' .. he went home and died about a week later .. I miss him SO much .. I was always 'one of the guys' . they all trusted me and I AM a vault .. so that trust was true & still is .. he was SO sure he would beat it .. as just about everyone is . .he got a Star on the walk of fame . Connie Stevens threw a GREAT party for him .. right around Xmas time '94 . TONS of people there .. from "The Virginian" and many others .. two of his X wives:) .. his two daughters and just tons of people .. so nice of her . Tents out back of her gorgeous home .. catered . GREAT .. After his memorial where his good friends spoke, Burt Reynolds . not sure Clint Eastwood spoke .. after we all went to a hotel closeby where we all spent a lot of time . the ballroom there for a PARTY as Dougie wanted it . then I went to work . I drove in the gate..the guards were most upset about Dougie . I got to my 'trailer' . the chair was gone??? .. had been there for MONTHS .. was there the day before .. a little strange .. No, Dougie is not here . he was going to be 59 when he died .. Mary I rode on Pullman trains . After "GS" .. I took another job and got a call from Don to go to work for him and his partner at Universal Studios .. I just unplug the tower and take it to the computer shop downtown. There is no way I'll give myself the grief of trying to figure it out myself. I don't know if y'all have been watching the TV show "American Pickers" but it's pretty interesting. Hmmm, I can't remember what channel it's on. :( Shoot, I wanted to remember because I wanted to tell PEZ that the Pawn Shop show on that channel had a man come in the pawn shop with a whole bunch of old PEZ, they were so kewl, and even in boxes. We went to town and I got my hair done and Bigfoot did a few things besides meet with his coffee buddies. Then we went to Alex {next town} Had lunch and I shopped a bit. Bigfoot had his usual ice cream cone which is his prize for waiting while I shop. Visited with two old friends in the beauty shop. We haven't gotten together for lunch during this very cold snap...So it was nice to see them... The cat came back and is eating and all is ok there. Could't figure out why he was gone the night it was the very coldest out. Must have been snuggled up to something warm... Lesley called today and everything is fine there. Part of the group will be heading for cold MN on Sunday...Mark and Lesley have plans to visit some friends and will come back on Tues...Lesley said she would like to stay longer if it was going to be so cold here. Well, it is going to get better by next week...I will be looking forward to that myself... Sorry that so many of you have had trouble with hackers gettin into your stuff....I don't open anything that I don't know about....I may miss some things but that is better than getting into 'puter trouble... SUDS----How do you think it would help by sending part of your credit card number or any other number in two messages? Don't you think that the person trying to get info would get both messages too and put them together? It may be cold here but right now I wouldn't want to be where all the snow and ice is blanketing a few states....No fun for them...However it will get warmer there much faster than it would for us here in the cold north.... I then had them call me to give me a new password, in case the email was screwed up. A computer called and gave me a password which I used to get in. Not thinking, I did not immediately check my info. After two days and no anything from ebay, I went to my messages and had strange ones for expensive jewelry questions that I had sent. Went to my info and found email changed to o---@live.com. Then I called the security chat. That man was so nice and helpful. Do not know how he did what he did, but I sure admire him and was so releived that all the jack--- seemed to want to do was look at expensive jewelry. Why didn't he just get his own account? Will change my passwords again on everything. Only lingering thing seems to be that I can not make auto payments through my credit card, but I will change that also. I am going to see about getting a site sset up, because I may not be able to afford ebay after the fees go up again. This was a nice little deal when it first started, but the reason I started was to make a little money. Gets to the point I don't then away we go. We got snow! Probably have 2-3 inches out there. Sounds like Oklahoma got the ice again. That stuff is deadly. This was a very wet snow and I am very glad of that. Bret said it was already slick when he came home last night. I know Colorado Springs got way more because everything is on a 2 hour delay or closed. Will call my friend Faye. Elvira had to go to the Vet yesterday because where she had her hysterectomy was swollen and discolored. Vet dug out an old stitch that was not dissoved and gave her antibiotics. Wish he would come to work for me!!LOL!! The Jack---. Doesn't seem like any damage was done for which I am very grateful. As for the cholestrol, great grandma died at 104 and never knew her number. Uncles and aunts all make the century mark and have for years. Mother died at 80, but she had smoked all her life even after on oxygen, so she is an exception. Max: I hope you don't wind up with a sunken floor in your garage. Makes it very hard getting the car in and out! (Sorry, that remark was uncalled for. Should have erased it, but then you would not know I apologized.) When Mary makes a mistake like mismatching her shoes she just laughs and says "I could just set down and cry, but they give me pills so I won't be sad and I will be happy!" So I tell her "Just keep taking them and we may get so happy they can't catch us." That really makes her laugh. Gotta go do the ducks and such. Have a good one. Smaller one by h.w. heater. We had the floor painted last yr. and know cracks were new. Must have been what I heard. Now I will lay awake nights thinking about sink holes that FL. has. MD, watching weather channel. Hope this ice storm misses you. Sounds like it may shut down alot of things. DD lives in N. MI. and they closed about all things early yesterday. Unexpected large amount of snow and wind. Things OK this morning. Pez, I didn't know you were without computer. Thought you were out Pez shopping. And the wind just won't quit, so not so goog going outdoors. Windy tonight with a below zero wind chill now. Ahhhh, the NORT!! ; ) Did take MOM to a dr. appt. and for a coupla shots she get today. All went well as she is 'maintaining', and doc says she doesn't need to come back until March, 2011. Made her happy. : ) Flights both went very well yesterday, and the shuttle and the pickup by SIS went like clockwork, too. Pretty tahrd tonight since I stayed up unbelievable late last night (all by myself and guess I should say this morning;). MOM may go back to her room early, so I will prolly follow suit. Yawn~~~~ MOM says "HI!" backatchyawl. : ) FRED....TOMKAT always gets the royal treatment from me. Plus I think he'd rather see me take care of the challenges that come up now with the care-givers than watch me fret that things will fall apart. ; ) Yup, still have the memory foam mattress topper. She is just doing so good here that I think it would help. I think she has had a stroke more then anything else. Doctors just aren't picking up the damage with a MRI, but she sure shows all the signs. She can remember back when we were kids and short term is fine also, just has trouble with her coordination and speech. Go to Amazon and buy this book. It costs $12.95. Brain Gym by Paul E. Dennison. Usually it just melts slowly in the spring with out much notice but rain in Jan. for MN is rare and it melted the snow so it came down in sheets...On our side of the house it filled up the path we always keep open for the UPS men. It's a shortcut for them so they don't have to come up the driveway...I wasn't about to go out and shovel a new path and Bigfoot hasn't done it either because it got real cold and I know it's as hard as a rock....So they will just have to deliver the longer way around... I have been very busy catching up on a million little things because next Tues. I have my other eye done. Those drops are hard for me to cope with. I feel over medicated and perhaps am...Didn't know I was going to have the other one done. No one told me that. I am still using one drop a day in the left eye... I know it will slow me down a lot and we will be leaving in Feb. for our cruise...I have gotten all the documents over the internet all by myself for the cruise...Darn Travel Agent wasn't worth a darn. Today I got seating for our air tickets...I didn't want to wait until Mark gets home to do that. I figured by that time all the good seats would be gone. So we most likely won't be sitting together on the flights. But that's ok...We will all arrive at the same gate anyway... I have our Round Robin Letter and have pictures realy to get that going. Just have to write the letter. That won't take long. Just cold, cold, cold and more cold...Supposed to warm up by Thurs or Fri. We shut the door to Bud's den because there is a sliding door to the porch in there and that lets in a lot of cold air...We turned on our little electric stove heater with the flame and so we were cosy and warm....Schools closed early and lots of things postponed. But we didn't have it anything like the southern part of the state where interstate roads were closed and truckers had to stay in shelters....Really bad conditions there with blowing snow mostly...Very high winds...No power outages around us as far as I know...So really we are fine. It was so nice to get rid of that wind. We can deal with the rest...Trails out here were cleared and our driveway was cleared long before we got out of bed.... LOU---I was happy that there was a mistake on your cholesterol reading...Sounds like you are doing a very good job with sister Mary...I guess what she needs is more one on one attention....So good for her to get somethings done by herself.... I like these winters, but could sure use a dab of moisture. Doctor was mean yesterday. My cholesterol is not 380. Nurse is cross eyed. It is 272 which is where it always at, but my good cholesterol is high so I am not worried. Blood pressure is normal. Lungs are clear after 50 years of smoking. Lot of 68 year old women in way worse shape then me! Dr. thinks I should "take better care of myself" WHAT!!! Oh, more exercise. So I came home and made red beans and rice with lots of the smoked sausage! Sister Mary is stringing elastic in my seed catchers and actually got one completed yesterday. I was really pleased and so was she! Her boyfriend is impressed with how much more coherent she is on the phone. We have been doing a lot of the exercises in that orange book I told you about. He will need to come out here and learn the routine. going to be beautiful today. Tomrrow is the weaving guild so we will go there then lunch with Phyllis at the senior center. I will need to start watching for eggs out in the fowl house soon. They better get on the stick cause people are already wanting noodles. Going to do some gluten free ones with some of Penny's eggs today. Elvira and Mary are still asleep. I think I finally got all my passwords and such changed on ebay, and all those places. Am once more getting my email on aol. What a mess that was! I would like to wring that jerks neck. I think I have isolated the guy who did it and if ebay does not get him off there in a couple days I will be back there with the guy I talked to. He was very nice! Took care of me right away, I just did not catch it the first day when I should have. If you ever try to get on and your password does not work and you know it should, do something right then! Don't just figure it is cause they are idiots! Ok, I am going to let out my fowl and then go down and weave. We don't have a lot of snow left after the rain...Crazy weahter. I will not go out today unless I really have to. Mark called last night to see if we had the big ice storm that has hit some of MN too...He was happy to hear that we are ok for now...They had two heavy rains down in FL but they were at night and it was nice the day after those rains. They are now off to the Gulf of Mexico for a few days...Had a wonderful time at Disney with the kids... Ellie was dressed at Tinker Bell. People thought whe was one of the Characters that roam around the place....Well, Yesterday they arrived very early before the gates were open. When they opened all the Disney characters lined the streets and greeted the people as they came in. When they saw Ellie they asked her to be a greeter too. So she thought that was really a treat... LOU---Sounds like you need to take some time off and take care of yourself. Too high of a cholesterol count...So do you take a medication for that? CEDAR---WE have MacFee and get that paid each year. One can hardly be without something like that. I have another one too that you can get for free...ALLIE knows how to do that one. Mark get it for us. Our power went out last night for about 7 hours. I lit the gas fireplace and we all slept in the living room. It was really too warm. Caroll west of here has 10,000 people without power. At one time 26,000 people were in the dark. People in the country might be without power for another week. Some kind of winter we have had and I had enough. MD:(

This is Disney World in FL... Yesterday it was a bit misty and foggy but we ventured out and got a few things done. One thing is that we got my Buick back from the body shop...It looked like new after the work done on it. I hated to drive it with the wires hanging out from where the rear view mirror used to be... It rained most of the night and now has tunred into very light snow...Don't know how much we are supposed to get but it is very slippery out there and many events were cancled or postponed. We have been told to stay home if we possibly can. I had a rotten night. About 2 AM we were awakened by a big thud which sounded like it was upstairs just above us...I listened for a long time and then got up and opened the window and stuck my head out. It was raining pretty good so we figured it was snow coming off the roof. Of course I couldn't get back to sleep and heard more funny noise that really sounded like snow coming off the roof. The rain must have been causing it. I hate to be alone in this big house... The cat had been in a big fight just before Mark left. It was only walking on three legs. But it has improved and is eating and using all four legs...So it must be better. It has been content to be inside in it's bed in Mark's office...It can go out when it wants to... I am not making plans to get to Church tomorrow. I know that it is going to be slippery under the snow. I know what that is like...Snow we can handle but rain in Jan. is not good for MN....SBIT Doris

Speaking of, hope SUDS and ALLIE are OK out there in Californie where they are getting such horrid weather and flooding. All animals safe and such? I never could understand why some people built such gorgeous and expensive homes on the hillsides only to see them collapse when the mud flows...The price of living up there in the clouds I imagine. JUDY, Good info on the peroxixde. Gosh, that stuff is good for so much. On the liners, I buy the thicker (more commercial ones) and wash them with a heavy towel. They come out like new and I do not worry about mildew and that sort of thing. Usually the packaging will state that the product is used by hotels and such. The thinner less expensive ones are like just tossing your money away. BTW, glad KISA caught you and won your heart, and you were no longer mooking any more. That brought a big chuckle. CEDAR: We all have experienced scares like yours. Do not buy anything on line unless you get advice. Best to go to one of the boards here on eBay and ask. The Computer Board or HTML/Images Board have both been so helpful. Don't be afraid to ask. Everyone has to learn. Course the kid down the road knows all about this stuff, more than we will ever know! ha. At least you paid with credit card and they too will be helpful. Lots of crooks out there, just be careful. She was always the golden girl in our family, you know, pretty, thin, boys loved her, but she married Tom when she was 13 and he was 16. He passed at 52 from genetic heart problem. She has been downhill ever since. She is 64 now and draws railroad retirement. Elvira sleeps with her and that makes her happy. Life takes some wormy little turns, huh? Fred: I was born gassy, so saurkraut is no big deal. No, actually the more of that stuff that you eat the less problem you have. Fiber is good for you. We worked at the same place for 12 years, we were friends but that was all, he was married and I wasn't mooking for a man not even an unmarried one. (Now wait, that's only partially true, I always loved men, but when they started to say the "m" word, I ran like a heck. But, while we worked at this place, the employees invented an imaginary title which they called the SPOTY award (Shi¥ Picker Of The Year). well, Kisa and I are both not quite-OCD but close. To it although we were technically ineligible because we weren't in the department that did the cleaning. Since it was imaginary, though, they broke rules and either Kisa or I won the award every year, (for instance, I drove 2 cars, and no matter how bad the weather was my car was always the cleanest in the parking lot.) When the guys and girls found out that Kisa and I started dating when it was time for the plant to close, they went nuts, said we were meant for each other cause no one else could put up with either of us. (Kisa's wife died in the years he was working there). So, anyway, God's plan was to get the girl who wouldn't even say the "m" word and the matching picker married up. As the old saying goes: "men make plans and. God laughs.) I can honestly say I have no regrets but I think if there was a list of the 10 single women who had the best time of their lives I'd be on the list with Fred's daughter! Think we are going to go get me a new car tomorrow, I've been pretendind I wasn't interested init because the price was too high and the salesman is started to talk along the lines we want to hear. Not a bid deal, our old car is 11 years old, has 154,000 miles and still runs like new. Niters y'all. Just thing, in the time it took for me to tell that story Lou prolly make a blanket. The neighbors lost two more overgrown eucalyptus bushes that turned into trees. The root systems are only large enough to support bushes, and these bush-trees are about 30' high. TOMKAT is down there with his chainsaw, cuz the most recent fallen tree is halfway on our property. Fortunately it didn't hit DD's house, but is entangled in a large pine tree and her expensive storage shed. Gonna go down in a few and see how he's doing and if we escaped damage. Wonder what DORIS-THE-SECOND is up to lately?? Dog-sitting for your sweet neighborhood puppies, DORIS? ; ) And JSAN has been unusually absent. Where are youse guys? Well I went down to help remove branches and tree clumps, but the neighbor guy was there with his chainsaw, too. I told him that my back was really happy to see him there! JUDY....Isn't it amazing when our chillens start becoming almost as old as we are?! *snarfle* Did you have a goog time celebrating poor-neglected-middle-chile-son's bday? I told Mom to remove the door in my sister's room . NO reason for it .. good idea .. when she died . the contractor left the outline of door on inside & out .. sooo my cousin came and painted inside & out . had to 'tell all I knew bout house' . .but since I was out here since '62 . I knew nothing .. and the home sold . now is worth more than twice what I sold it for .. but could NOT keep that and this for all those 10 years .. 11 if you count this one .. TAXACHUSETTS .. YIKES . I look at taxes they MUSt pay back there and .. OMG .. glad I did NOT keep it . thought about it for a minute or two .. OIL heat . radiant heat .. that home was in Home & Gardens & Parents magazines .. first of its kind .. built by a man at GE . he & family built it . MOSt of it . had all kinds of neat things there .. turn the switch and melt snow on driveway and front walk! (course heavy snow . did NOT work at all . ) .. and you could manage coffee & stuff from master bedroom .. He was going to retire in a few years and was his dream home .. soon as it was finished . he was transferred to Schenectady ..about where we came from:) .. that was '52 .. BUT had I thought or know about that flat roof! . .AND to caulk windows:( . that was a mess too .. Dad did NOT know .. sooo never was done . .and that cellar always flooded .. Fire Dept. would be there many times pumping it out . had a sump pump . did NOT help when things were really BAD .. I do NOT have a basement .. sooo not worried bout that .. and 'what will be, will be' :) Wish I loved reading as I did years ago . I keep buying books and read a page or two and that is it:( . I have 2 nieces in CA now, too, so am praying for your state to get sun again soon. Or at least get rain at a reasonable rate. Also we had to go to the big city to celebrate son #2 birthday, then brought grandson home with us, Kisa working night turn, it's crazy, I can't wait until he retires (investment guy says 4 more years). qualitydistributor, the only things that sell well are things that are extremely rare, and they are selling for a whole lot less than they did a couple years ago. In other words, the recession is alive and well and living in ebay. Doris, you and Bigfoot are tough! I hope Mark's cat is tough, too. Last night, the last couple times I took Heidi out I could hear a cat meowing frantically. It was in the woods, there's a creek there and there was no way I was going to go wandering in there in the dark trying to find a kitty I'm very allergic to. The night before I was scared to take Heidi out, we were careful because we could smell Mr. Skunk is back. This morning I couldn't hear it. I hope it is OK. This neighborhood is THE place to drop off unwanted pets. People are so weird, the animal shelter has a drop-off but somehow people think they are going to be better off here (with the coyotes). Oh gosh, Cedar, fudge does sound good. I made a big batch of brownies last night, shouldn't have done it because we are all on diets but, couldn't resist. :) Max, I had so many paperbacks in my closet I moved them to shelves in the basement, and so now I'm piling them up in my closet again! I love to read but haven't been able to make time. I think I'm way off my "normal" schedule. I'll get back there. (yeah right) I haven't seen "American Pickers" yet, and don't know what it's about. Some of the newer peeps here might think my 'picker' ID is about antiques picking, but actually it's about KISA and I being nit pickers. We have to have everything clean, everything in its place, it's just how we are. Well, I just learned a new "picker trick" that I want to share with y'all. I read this somewhere, tried it and it worked so goog for me I though maybe y'all will want to at least try it. Our shower is fiberglass, the door has a metal frame. We have a water softener but water residue build up was driving me crazy. I used hydrogen peroxide to clean it, OMG, it worked great. I'd tried vinegar and all the other stuff, but this was so much better. So if you are having cleaning problems, you might want to try it. I dumped it on a scrubber sponge but you could probably put it in a spray bottle. We got two big bottles at WW's Dad's Club for only $1.98. So it's cheap, too. :) That's it for today! The worst of the day is supposed to be starting about now (midnight), and tomorrow is sposin to be worse than today. Yesterday we had horizontal rain because the gale force wind was so strong. Had tornado warnings a little north of here. The winds were so strong that youda thought we were having one I'll tell ya! It was coming down pretty goog as I took the girls to their separate teen get-toghethers. Just sprinkles on the way home later. : ) OK, that statement above was last night. I made the mistake of lying down on the couch for a few minutes. *snort* At least it was easy to pop up to the door and peek out to see if everything was still on the ground (it is) when the huge gusts of wind hit every so often. We're having a nasty, windy storm that has been here most of the night, and the horizontal rain seems to be here to stay for awhile. I do NOT know how CONNIE and MAX and everyone else can stand being in hurricane winds on a regular basis. Oh! I just hate the strong winds!!! I believe we've had over 4" of rain during the night, and it's still coming down. I think that brings us to about 7" in three days, which is a lot for this area. The nearby ski mountains have had over 5' of snow this week! The weather map indicates that we may have a short break and maybe even the sun will peek through?? A lady a few miles from here lost her life when a tree crashed through her home in a mobile home park. She was only 52. : ( I lowered the pool water level twice yesterday. Glad I took an extra amount out, because I can see that it is now too full again. As soon as the rain slacks a tad, I'll run down and drain some more, but going out in this stuff would drench me in seconds. Ack! At least it's a kinda balmy 61°. I spent alotta time yesterday picking up branches and pulling some large weeds before the 2nd storm came. TOMKAT's been keeping the culverts cleared of debris, so that the water goes where it's supposed to and doesn't wash-out our long driveway. So we're doing ok compared to some who have mudslides and flooding. Out buildings are all higher than the bottom of the property and the road, thank googness! We have storms today and tomorrow before this yucky stuff finally passes. The upside is that we really, really need rain. Weather-gal-ALLIE signin off for now so she can get another cuppa. ; ) BBLM!

Bigfoots oral surgery looks good and yes there is bone damage around the other tooth...Our Dentist is going to call the Oral Dentists and at least ask why it wasn't done two years ago before damage was done...Bigfoot brought the extracted wisdom tooth along for them to see....Tooth part was black and holy sort of. Long gnarled {is that a word?}roots and thank goodness that is out of his jaw...No wonder he wanted it pulled... Mark, Lesley and her mother will leave later today for the Cities and will stay over to catch an early flight to Orlando....Lesly has gained weight with all her recoup laying around and with Mark feeding her too much. So I hemmed some new pants for her last night...I will see what else I can do for her today...Usually my things fit her but they don't now so that doesn't work any more.... ALLIE--Please keep us posted on your rain that is coming your way. When I got home today I turned the computer on and OMG Guess what!! The computer had a virus. It wouldn't let me on anything. It said that my virus protection had run out?? Well I really didn't know what to do and anyway I had to be at my appointment to get my retirement papers filled out!! Anyway I went to my appointment and when I returned home I turned the computer back on and same thing so they were advertising some virus protection plan so I signed up for it- paid for it and now everything seems to be fine. I just hope noone stole any of my information. Is there a way you can find that out?? I took my friend her homemade fudge today. So when I saw this it reminded me of her!! She said" I AM NOT SHARING WITH ANYONE"!!!! ROFL!! Well think I'll go and rest my mind!! It doesn't take much for it to give out and today has been one of those days!! We've had quite a bit since yesterday, but it has been pretty steady instead of having a deluge. That's really goog for those who live near burned-out areas. I had to drain some out of the pool this ayem, as it was getting too full and running out the skimmer basket. If we get 11" like they are predicting, I'll have to do that quite a few more times. : O TOMKAT got his weed-wacker back from the 'hospital', so the weed overgrowth is more under control now. : ) SUDZIE....Cute on the range'rop'vers the other day. ; ) '91 is when the Camry's were really neat. I really would have liked one, but needed a van more. Bet yours is a beaut! : ) CEDAR....I'm sorry that your school had to go through that nasty scare. Today I have my semi annual dental check up...I called and asked them if they would look at Bigfoots tooth where the bone was damaged my the infection....I just want to see what they think about it...I am still really hot under the collar that the surgeons didn't do anything when we were there two years ago....I want to know just how we can tell if and when we can expect trouble with that tooth too. Bigfoot never mentions anything about where the old wisdom tooth was extracted so it must be all healed. I will know more by the end of the day. Poor us. We only have three cars for the four of us. Today everyone is needing a car...Lesley has a hair cut and something else in town. Mark went to St. Cloud and we need to get to the dentist. Lesley will be home with her car in time for us to use it. So seldom this ever happens... Forgot to tell you my car is at the body shop. No, I didn't do it. While I was in FL in Dec. Bigfoot took my car to the car wash and it went bonkers and broke off the left rear-view mirror...And did damage on the trunk...He said it was scary because he didn't dare just drive out without the door big door opening...Anyway the insurance will pay for it and the car wash has shut down....So really for a few days we are down to two cars...No wonder we are in a bind....It will work out....Otherwise all is well here as far as I know....SBIT Doris

I live in Glenwood just 15 miles down the road. These board members know that I go there to shop and I tell them that Alex has all the big box stores that anyone could possibly want. Not to mention all the eating places...I see that you use your zip code in your user name.. And you say that you are new....but you have a feedback of 1462 and a red star....Yet nothing for sale...How did you get that? I know Alex quite well as I have lived in the area most of my life which is past 86 years. Between Karrows Jewlery Store and Glenwear I am broke most of the time.... This is a very friendly board so stay awhile and tell us about your self..We mostly just chat but do answer questions when someone asks about something. Lots of coffee on this board and most everyone is a chocolate lover....They are from all over the USA and even one farmer from Canada.... Then last night she started a larger one and she should get it done sometime this evening. Takes me about 4 minutes, but she is doing it, which is almost a miracle. He told her boyfriend (who is in Texas till the middle of Feb) that I run a sweat shop. Then she told him "I laughed today! I really laughed!" Apparently that does not happen often, but she is home alone all day and all she does if you do not give her something is stand with her coffee cup and look out the window. I am real excited about the Brain Gym thing. Hope it does her a little good or at least gives some tips on how to help her. I do not understand what she has. She can remember the past, she can remember the present. Knows what she had for breakfast, just her motor skills are almost non existent. She can tell things that have happened, just takes a while to find the words she wants. Need to talk to her daughter and see just what her diagnosis is. Other then that we are doing fine. Lyn is coming to clean today and will bring the little baby. Mary is a twittered about that. I have to go take Georgia to the heart doctor this afternoon so Lyn will be here with Mary. We are eating the crap out of the saurkraut. I am the only one doing any good with the kimche. The Brain Gym is a registered program so you could research it online. I just haven't had the time and the lady who is the certified instructor is a friend of mine and fellow weaver, so I thought I would learn first hand. I picked up a new follower on my blog. Sister Mary is sleeping and will nt get up till about 10:00. She seems really happy to be here. Think she is very lonely at home. Too bad the daughters can't arrange some diversion for her. I know most Senior centers have Tia chi exercise. She just cried and cried when I picked her up. It is scary when anyone is that happy to see me!! We will go for a walk today as the weather will be in the 50's. Need to list stuff, but that will just have to wait. Bret and I will be picking up the flooring for the office today. Then I need to get some of this crap relocated so we can even move stuff around. I ought to just post some before pictures and then after, if the after ever gets here. I will let Mary play with the 3 big boxes of jewelry I bought at the garage sale. That should amuse her. We have to take Georgia to the doctor tomorrow, so I will not make the weaver workshop again. She is in love with the pink blanket! It may have to go home with her! I neglected to tell you all about the Brain Gym workshops we are going to attend at the Arts Center. These are supposed to be miracles for the older mind that doesn't remember like it used to. Will let you know how that goes, but they do not start until Saturday. Duty calls!! Will be sneaking in and reading if nothing else. LOU
