Shelly put all of those in your listing. Say wavy molded hair and old cloth body. The title should have China head German doll in the listing. You can find several on auction.

Quita my Mum wanted red highlights in her hair for a GS wedding. It was purple highlights instead. Someone asked me where she was sitting and I said just look for the glowing purple head. We all had a good laugh over it but Mum didn't think it was funny!

PC My Ex MIL had a lot of redheads in the family, never came through on any of my boys, (thank goodness) but a few other of her Great Grand Kids got the red hair at least one boy, and a girl.. Some so spread out, not sure about all of them.. Girls always seem to be enhanced when they have red hair.. Most boys hate it. LOL

WEll I am off again, to get a perm, will be back later.. Keep that information coming.. I am an experienced most everything but as they say, Master of None.. LOL

HEllo ALL, been listing for tomorrow..
REEN and SYLVA, and anyone else.. The doll has a breast plate front & back, you can just barely make out the Germany on the back, very light impression, I can make out the G, and the any on the end.. Yes she is 7" is that too big, I didn;t know.. But appreciate all your help.. Now what to start it out with I guess 9.99 and see what happens with it..

Glad you feel up to moving about a bit REEN.. thats a good sign, also means work.. LOL

PC glad to know at least you got to see a picture of the little angel.. Did you see where I had a new one yesterday, a GGD.. Emily Marie.. Not sure when I will get a chance to see her.. Son says he has her picture on his camera, not sure if he can send it to me or not.. God Bless your little Red Head Lillian Grace with the compassion of her Grandmother.. Shelly

Good Morning, All...

Shelly, my daughter lives about 20 miles south of here - in an area not accessible via RTD. I don't have a car. She did post photos on Facebook, so at least I've gotten an idea of what Lillian Grace looks like. Red hair, of course. I was always taught that red hair was a recessive gene, so how does one explain one mother (me), three children, and their six children all starting out with red hair?...

Reen, thank you for the compliment, but my memory is not what it used to be. Couldn't remember the fourth member of Metallica last night - and I've met them all, lol.

Shelly--Does the doll say Germany on the neck? It looks like a chiana head doll from around the 1890,s-1900,s to me.
Does she have a shoulder plate? Old china heads have shoulder plates rather than just a head attached by the neck. Hope I am making sense Sylva

We are not ready for Thanksgiving, doubt I could stay out of BR long enough to get dinner on the table we will all be going to Perkins Rest. for dinner.. Superb food..

A couple of Indoor garage sales here.. Where someone rented a whole warehouse and you buy what you want cheap.. They also have rented a store to do the same thing.. I was there last week, and the young fellas checking it out, but a darked skin man was holding the money bag.. So not sure who is running the outfit. Got this little 7" doll there. Had a price tag of 55.00 on it but got it for a song..

MAX,

Put on a little over 300 miles today - but had some fun and found some interesting items. Regarding your question - a rough, unfinished pontil is, by and large, an indication of a cheap product. Better glass producers - whether in the 1800's or today - finished their blown products by grinding out and polishing the pontil scars. Of course like all generalizations, there are exceptions.

Good Evening, all...

Lauren, your set reminds me a bit of Syracuse Rose Marie, but I think the shape is wrong. My daughter has my mom's wedding china in that pattern, so I haven't seen it for years.

David, I have no idea who made your piece, but it would look absolutely wonderful on my mission dresser... perhaps use Chiquita's "matte green" but also mission or arts & crafts or prairie style...

BTW, the new little-girl hatchling is doing well. I absolutely love her name. Now if I can only get to meet her...

Good evening everyone.

What a day. I went on and on about so many YS signs up and down our main street on Thurs. Hubby said probably because it was Fri.

Reen, I can just see you. Don't you hate when they fluff you up?

Chris, that is a great site you posted. Found some of my spoon patterns, I have little box I throw all odds and ends of silverplate. That site will really help.

Davie, wish I could help. As mcquita says...looks like something nice.

Luci, take out sounds good. Especially if it means no kitchen clean up. Glad Ian going to be with you for Thanksgiving.

Need to straighten up kitchen pantry. That 2/1 sale has it a little out of order.

Morning Max, I am sure the PO is upping rates again. Not sure if they have to or if it is just profit taking. We do have less postal workers in the po near me during the day. Might be their not replacing those who retired. Know that the firefighters are down by 100 men/women since last year. Not replacing them either in the near future.

Yes I got very involved with the Glass Board, I fact just a few years back I hosted a Glass Gathering here about 8 folks from Australia to North Carolina and Denver to Florida. We had a wonderful time from Catalina Island to the Huntington Gardens really a special time. I was on Dial up and learned everything I know about how to use the e-Bay system and Glass and Pottery too, but I am still a novice at it all. Where did the years go? Yes, you did some ribbing all right! I do recall that too. /;-) You wrote ~Yawn... a lot!
Thank you for being so patient! Are you still just as tolerant? Be well and stay safe Gordon.
I will be back I have some old china that has to go too. I just cannot care for all this stuff anymore, am in the process of a very s-l-o-w liquidation. Pottery seems to be catching it first. Better than the kid's will get at Garage / Yard sales.... but not much.

marypat, I remember when you first came onto the chat boards years ago.
You were nervous, and perhaps on dial-up.
You took some ribbing, and were a good sport.
You hung in there, and I think you enjoy your chatting now, yes?

I'm afraid I can't help you with the vase.

So I thought you accidentally posted here instead of the GB, - but I scrolled all down that board too, and no tazmaniac did I find.

Good Morning Everyone. Exciting news (for me). My daughter had a baby girl. Her name is Lillian Grace, but I have no other information since Jen and I are... shall we say... estranged. Her older daughter, Cecelia, posted on Facebook, so that's how I know. "Lillian" was my father's aunt, who helped raise him when his mother died in the Spanish Flu in 1918. "Grace" was my mother's younger sister. Hmmm, I wonder if I should change my userid to "cealamalagli?"

Have a good Nap REEN.. hope four more hours will do the trick..

MORNING CHRIS, CATHY, LUCI, MAX.. Insurance is a mute thing for me, because DH still has me covered at work, but I have Medicare, because his insurance company said I had to, or they would not pay what they would have.. Got away with it for about 5 years, Not having it, when they started taking thier share out of my SS, it surely hurt, my finances.. Bummer..

I thought you were suppose to sign up for it 6 mo. before you became 62 or 65? None the less, the price goes up this year, with no increase to help pay for it, isn't that a kick in the head.. Of course Politicians have theres paid for by us.. thats why we cannot afford it..LOL

Well it really rained hard during the night so much for our Indian Summer I guess, nice while it lasted.. The sun was shining bright when I got up, and thought how nice, and now its raining again.. Go figure, so gloomy, I am not sure how the sun ever got through for that short time..

MAX your clock sounds cute, is it a seller?
CATHY, those rings if cocktail or gold should sell good.. She might as well enjoy the money as to have the family get them, and not wear them..
LUCI, if you go out, I hope you have a good day.. Funny your GS dragging around the swifter, maybe he wants to help..
CHRIS will have to check out your rings.. I don't wear many anymore with as crooked as my fingers are, but always liked them.. Shelly

Cathy the only thing we could get if we didn't bridge, was just catastrophic, and a high rate. Paid the long dollar until he qualified for Medicare, then the supplement went down to $60 a month.

Max, hurry before poor old Fuzzy has a fit...

Luci, The sunday it was 71 here everyone who planned on decorating for christmas got it done. People across the street have a pretty display and another one I saw had all the windows lined with lights. Really pretty on an older home. Have seen some santas on roofs but not lit up yet. May have to drag my sad look wreath out of the basement one more time. Thinking of putting my tree up the weekend after Thankgiving. Did not have one last year cause my hands hurt to much at that time.

Chris, when you turn 65 you sign up with the government for Medicare part A & B. They then deduct the $98 dollars automaticall from your SS check each month. The coverages I am looking at limit the amount of out of pocket expense if something really bad occurs or a big surgery etc. The secondary coverage limits out of pocket expenses to between say 2000.00 to 4000.00 depending on the plan you choose. It also gives you drug coverage which medicare does not. Drug coverage is at times included in some of the secondary coverage you can buy. The plan I like so far will cost me $56 per month but the limit of out of pocket expenses is 3940.00 per year. Anything over that is covered by the plan.

Than And Again, try this link, I think your mark is here..

http://www.gotheborg.com/marks/index_jap_marks.htm

REEN & ALICE I had my Knee replaced 1997 and they last depending on how you use it or what sports you are into, etc.. Its not my artificial knee that needs replaced but my other one.. Doc did not want to do mine either, and said it sounded better then wasteing my good years limping around.. If it will need done again so be it.. So it depends on the quality of life.. The doc did not argue with me about doing it after he understood my view point. Did not want to hobble around until I reached an acceptable age, I like walking too much.. Shelly needing to go to PO.. Alice those replacements only last 10 years and then you have to do it all over again, so your DD is probably right.

Good for you Reen. That constant coughing can take all your energy.
Shelly..daughter is 55 but says she is too young for replacement. My sister is 75 and gets shots about 3 times a year, sooooooooo,we'll see. Truly hope it works since her gait of walking is off. Not good.

I'm fine. Beautiful day here in Houston. Supposed to be a few more like it. Have had my coffee, but deciding what I want to eat. Probably oatmeal but I do the instant.

My oldest daughter is getting a shot in her hip this a.m. Sure hope it works. They're doing it under a fluroscope. This one on her hip with mild to moderate arthritis to see if it's going to work. This is her non gas pedal hip. Her other hip is mod to severe. Keep fingers crossed.

Gordon, thank you so much! I have my antique bottle of Guerlain's Vol de Nuit on it. Maybe I'll sell the plate if I can find a French-made plate in honor of Antoine de Saint-Exupery (wrote the book, Night Flight, for which the scent was named back in 1931, and also wrote "The Little Prince," which most of us read as kids).

I have been finding so many "real" antiques lately - of course, none of them sell (whew, I was worried that they would!)

Guess I'll start a collection of transferware - perhaps the egg cup collection will sell instead, lol.

PC off to bed - have to work tomorrow

An interesting plate, Pat.
Wedgwood & Co is not the main Wedgwood firm that was founded by Josiah.
The history of the Corinthia pattern began around 1860, at the time young Enoch Wedgwood took over Podmore Walker.
Enoch Wedgwood (Wedgwood & Co) continued making that pattern right up until about 1900.
Your plate is one of the earlier ones, circa 1860's.

Good Evening, everyone.

Linda, love the deer story...

Gordon, if you pop on, could you look at this Wedgwood Corinthia dessert plate? It measures 6 3/8 inches in diameter. There is a very tiny "blob" of clay at the edge (about 1/64 inch or a mm and a half). No "England" or "made in." The plate is clearer than my photo. Lousy photographer here.

Just need to know approximate age. I really don't want to list it. My cologne bottles look so nice on it, especially the one from the 1930s. Thanks in advance.
