I should find out tomorrow sometime what the outcome is for mr bobo, he goes before the judge in the morning... he could be home as soon as friday, maybe even possibly tomorrow... or he may never be home again :o(
also tomorrow is my shrinks last day and he really put things to me today rather harshly about my fighting for a release, partly because he knows a commital will be in his future and he hated the thought of us having to go thru this twice, and partly because I wont be seeing him anymore and this whole mess would take forever to adequatly explain to a new guy

foxymommas1 - Powerseller and Top Rated Seller are entirely different things and have different requirements.

Like I said, I'm not sure, being mostly a buyer and having no hope of ever becoming any kind of big seller in my lifetime, but I think eBay is doing away with the icon.

Posted by   ( ) on Nov-20-09 at 20:13:52 PST   Listings
foxymommas1____Far's I know the logo will eventually show up. There's nothing you can do to change it. Not that being a power seller is all that wonderful. Some buyers tend to avoid them.

It is strange because it was just offered to me yesterday and I dont even see the medal thing you are talking about there is nothing at all different. I wondered if it was just that I cannot see it and everyone else can or what. I can see it in my ebay but on none of my listings, does it take a few days to get up there maybe?

foxymommas - I saw your question, but I'm not sure I know the right answer.

I do know that the Powerseller program is being phased out or at least de-emphasized. I am pretty sure eBay is going to stop displaying the Powerseller icon. It's being replaced with the TopRated Seller badge, a big ugly thing that's all over the Search results pages now.

I guess there's no word from Silver tonight. At least, I've not gotten an email and I'm considering that a good thing.

You know, Connie might whip this thing. My sister-in-law's car was hit by a train and the blood ran out of her faster than they could pump it back in. She was torn up on the inside something terrible. But no broken bones, if you can imagine that!

Anyway, she was in ICU for what seemed like forever. I can't remember now for how long, nor can I remember how many times they thought they were losing her. Her head swelled to the size of a basketball and everything in her failed. She was on complete life support for I don't remember how long.

She recovered completely. The only problem that remained is a loss of memory and perhaps a small bit of confusion at times, and she had really bad pain in one leg constantly. They never figured out exactly why; probably nerve damage of some sort.

Anyway, that happened in 2004 and she died a year ago last May at the age of 80. She was 76 when she had had the accident so she had a lot of years on Connie.

There is, or was, a Hare Krishna temple in West Virginia. I think it was their American headquarters. I once met a man who belonged but was disaffected and in the process of leaving. I also once saw a vanload of little Hare Krishna boys being driven south on the freeway. The kids were all hanging out the windows. Whoever was driving apparently didn't care.

I haven't heard anything about them for 20 years or so. I kind of assumed they were still there but no longer of any importance.

OK, back to the leeks. Hubby asked about mace and clarified butter, then finally said he wanted to make leek and potato soup. Seems to me the size of the minced leeks isn't all that critical.

The clarified butter does worry me, and the two cups of cream. I'm spozed to be on a lowfat diet.

Bad knees, hips, feet, back just a rolling drugstore for different medications and trying to figure out different angles to increase her government checks. Well, hey bzabu!
and hey bead! [belatedly]

my personal viewpoint is that medication is not necessarily required to cure/heal a condition. We are so western-medicine dependent, so disenfranchised and separated from our own abilities to control our physical bodies and well-being, so far separated from balance ... that it does some hopeless at times.

this is just my personal belief system, as western medication treatments is others'. But a categorical statement that "medication is necessary" is bound to get me a little testy! :D

And if I had a compound fracture, I'd go to the hospital, yup! :D

crazy03chc - think about it. Why would anyone offer you a lot more than the bid price? Why wouldn't they just bid and get it cheaper?

Yeah, I know, they want it for their sick child's birthday in two days and they can't wait for the auction to end.

Think of another reason, like maybe they think it's worth a lot more than their offer?

in some instances bp can be lowered by biofeedback, meditation, yoga, exercise, weight loss, and using other non-pharmaceutical methods - but depending on the cause of the hypertension, some can only be lowered by medication and medical treatment of the causative condition - of course, combining medication with the non-drug methods is a good thang

hey everyone,

So this is the deal, I listed a louis vuitton bag today and it got pulled. I'm thinking to myself why did this happen. I thought I followed all the rule as a seller (guess not). That didn't really piss me off because I can always relist it. What was upsetting to me was the fact that I received a email from someone who didn't have enough nerve to show there email address so that I could responed. This person said that my bag was fake!! so I'm saying to myself how the hell would you know if my bag was fake or not????. I could understand a little better if this person asked me for some type of proof and I couldn't produce it that different then I would say also that something is funny with this bag. How is a person on ebay out of the blue is going to tell me that my bag is FAKE pleeeease I have a closet full of high end bags and none are fake. Can someone please tell me how did this happen????

you might be able to do it in a food processor on Pulse, but not in a blender.

I beg to disagree: Yes, you CAN control your blood pressure. Biofeedback and other techniques. It is in the power of the mind to control many bodily functions. Ask a Tibetan Buddhist monk. :D

and you can let your anger go, also. You just have to be willing to do it.

I am not saying it is easy.

seatgiant I'm very well versed in the game of ebay checkers and thats a KING ME move that you can't get away from....

You can't consciously control your blood pressure. You can suppress your anger, but it's still there inside your body.

In fact, people sometimes ask here, "Do you want the money/the item, or do you want the feedback?

Me, I want the feedback. That's the fun of buying on eBay. Otherwise I'd shop elsewhere.

sasquatch - yep, bummer. A lot of the newer sellers' ME pages are pretty useless - nothing but their feedback and current listings - but the older ones are fun. Lots of creative personal information.

Maybe that's exactly why they're being discontinued. eBay wants to eliminate the personal touch?

We live off SR 48, we go over through Lebanon to the flea (TI or Turtle Creek - whatever name) then up 75 to SR 73 and over to Ceaser's then back down 71 to 48. Makes a nice round trip.

So I got this buyer that places a Item not described before item is even delivered, refuses the package when it gets there & has it returning to my P.O. Box on my account, it only cost me around $280.00 in shipping fees alone.$600.00 in over all refunds. It's nice to not be able to leave the feedback this guy deserves. Oh how I love selling on eBay.
